I will have to post some of my favorites from August on another day... but I wanted to update everyone (Incase anyone out there still reads this). Sorry I have not updated it in quite some time. All is going well here. Don is now doing better, recovering from a severely sprained ankle from a basketball game on Wednesday night. He went to the ER and they took x-rays and no broken bones... just the worst sprain the Dr. had seen in a while. He said it would have been better if he would have broken it. It looks terrible today... all purple and swollen, but it is getting easier to walk on it each day. He is getting better just in time to start teaching again tomorrow. He is only starting off with 4 students, but they are emotionally disturbed so 4 can still be a challenge. He is really looking forward to the new school year though and has all kinds of great plans for the kids.
I am doing well with the pregnancy too. I just turned 29 weeks on Thursday and my belly is resembling a basketball more and more. With 2 months to go, we are getting very excited for Sadie to get here. The baby room is pretty much ready now, with the exception of needing a new crib mattress. Oh, other new news on me is that I got a new job at Shelby's school (St. Mark's CDC) as the assistant to the director. I am very excited about this as it opens many great doors for our family and I get to work alongside my awesome friend, Kelly, who just became the new director. I think we'll make a dynamic duo! It also means that Shelby can continue going to school there for free and Sadie will be able to come with me to work as soon as I am ready to return after she is born. I feel very blessed to have this opportunity.
Shelby is doing marvelously, as well. She is starting her new classroom tomorrow (the 3-4 class). I can't believe she's getting so big! This means she will be in pre-k next year and then kindergarten... It's going by so quickly. She is growing so much (physically and mentally). We had to go buy all new dresses at the thrift store today because all that was in her closet was 2T and those barely cover her rump any more... She grew so many inches really quickly. Her favorite thing these days is making up songs and telling us stories. I really need to start writing them down and video-ing her... it's hilarious, the things 3 year old come up with.
Well, that's the update on us. I better get lunches made and get ready for tomorrow. Hope everyone is doing well.
Love Always, Me
