Definitly a December to Remember!

Let me see... Here are the great things that are happening this month:

  • I graduate from the University of Houston-Downtown Campus in exactly 7 days!!!
  • Christmas is 11 days away!
  • Don's aunt, uncle, cousin Jackie & her husband and son are coming from California to visit and will get to stay at our house
  • Don's grandparents from Chicago will be here too
  • We are going to have 18 people in our house on Christmas day for a Christmas feast!
  • Don and his mom are throwing me a graduation party on New Year's Eve!
  • Shelby is potty training herself!
  • Don and I are approaching our 6th anniversary of marriage on January 4th!!! I can't believe how the time has flown... we've had some wonderful memories!
This month has been a whirlwind with trying to finish up school and also preparing to come to an end at my job at St. Marks CDC and get ready to teach 3rd & 4th graders in January. I am very excited but feeling slightly unprepared and uncertain on how my life is going to dramatically change in the next few weeks. Well, I just finished my last final project for college and will turn that in tomorrow... and I will be officially done! I should go to bed now, since I have work in the morning, but I wanted to give ya'll an update. God is so good to me! He has brought me so far in a short amount of time and I just can't believe I will be a college graduate in a few days.

Thank you Lord, for holding this family together and giving me the strength to
keep going when I did not have it on my own!
~Amen~

Here are some Christmas photos of us in front of the tree:

(I originally wondered if the tree was out to get me because it fell down 3 times, even after we tied it to the wall with fishing line... but I guess the 4th time was a charm in our case... Sadly it broke several of our Army/German ornaments but I am going to glue them back together).
