Sad News on Valentine's Day

Dear Friends and Family,

I have some shocking and sad news to tell you all. Don received orders from the Army (on Valentine's Day), even though he is inactive and only has a year and half left before the Army no longer "owns" him... He must report to South Carolina on April 5th, then to Rose Mount, MN, and then to Iraq for 400 days... This has come as quite a shocker to all of us... We have so much going on right now... I am just starting alternative certification classes and will not be done until June... And Don has two classes left to get his Masters in Education Administration. He was about to start coaching Special Ed. Olympics but had to decline that yesterday... And he will be soarly missed at the middle school that he teaches for as it is hard to find good teachers for adaptive behavior campuses (for emotionally disturbed children) and Don truly loves that job. But.... I guess we'll roll with the punches. We know God's hands are on this situation so it will all work out for the good. Just thought I would let you know what's going on here. We're very sad for Shelby mostly, as she has no understanding of the military life at all and she is very attached to Daddy. Please keep us in your prayers.
