I am sorry it has taken me so long to post this, as we have not been able to personally speak with many of you who check this blog and you may be unaware of our glorious change of events... God has answered prayer! After spending 3 weeks in South Carolina, the Army decided that Don would be amongst the 50 soldiers that they would release to go home. When Don first told me of this possibility, I was in total denial, as it is completely uncharacteristic of the U.Sm Military to do such a thing... But then I realized that it was completely a miracle and God was answering the prayers of all who had prayed for our family. This was not the best timing for Don to be away from our family, for many reasons... God knew that and has brought him back to us. We could not be more thankful and life has now resumed to normal. I didn't tell Shelby that Don was coming home... I just took her over to Grandma Sue's house and told her that Grandma was bringing her a surprise when she got off of work. So we waited and Sue picked Don up from the airport... I video taped Shelby as she came out into the front driveway and ran to hug her Daddy... she wouldn't stop hugging him and has been attached ever since. Don, we're so glad you are home. It was really hard without you for a mere 3 weeks... I am so thankful that we were spared from the torture of 400 days apart! Thank you Lord! (I'll attach pictures soon... I have to get back to homework but wanted to update everyone with the fabulous news)
PS- I turned 13 weeks pregnant on Thursday and all is going very well. My next appointment is on the 18th so I will update more after that. I also cannot believe my angel will be 3 years old on May 5th... that is this Tuesday. It's so hard to believe that we brought her into this world 3 years ago.. it seriously feels like yesterday. I know I will have another baby before I know it and time will go by just as quickly. I have enjoyed being Shelby's mommy for these past 3 years... She amazes me in a different way, each day!
